In this short clip Gary is washing and setting a recently completed scarf project. The project used rayon and tencel yarn, both made of natural cellulose, which dictated the washing method. This portion of the process washes away factory chemicals found in most commercial yarn as well as excess dye. As important, washing setts the weave, blossoms the yarn, and results in a softer 'hand' or drape to the fabric.
